"I see journalists as the manual workers, the laborers of the word. Journalism can only be literature when it is passionate.
Marguerite Duras"
This quote was inspirational to me because I fully agree that without passion, journalism would be nothing but bland, dull facts on paper. The success of journalism comes from a good writer who is passionate about their work and loves what they do. It is evident when someone is working in a job they don't enjoy because the product has no part of themselves in it; the most successful writer is one who does what it takes and devotes their time and emotions into making their piece as good as it can be. Journalism takes a story and turns it into a published work of art.
