My Inspirational Quote
"Be honest about what you see, get out of the way and let the story reveal itself."
Anderson Cooper
To me, this quote represents one of the main purposes of broadcast journalism: make sure you focus on the story. The news should focus on stories, not on making the reporter look good. While the latter's still important, the mission of news is to inform the public. The story should also be the truth, not manipulated into something you want it to be. This quote represents both of those aspects and condenses major points about news into one sentence.

I agree. You should not personalize the news, but instead let the news story be what it is and let it flow naturally.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I think you should have a happy medium, though. You want the story to reveal itself, but you also want to make it interesting...draw the listeners in by making them care. Sometimes, the only way to make them care is to show how you feel about the story and use your persuasiveness to embellish the real story.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree to your response. You have to make the best out of everything you do in life. In addition, you should focus on the story, but at the same time you should be conversational when telling the news to your audience.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. You have to focus on the story rather than the person presenting it.
